Goodbye Imprint

TVO cancelled its long-running book show, Imprint, yesterday. It's a sad thing for the book industry that keeps seeing its marketing and promotional opportunities diminish in a world where people are reading less and less.

So glad I found someone else who mentioned this on their blog. I was heartbroken when I found out. I loved that show, in spite of how it had changed in the past few years (was never better than when Daniel Richler was at the helm).

Also, I had secret desires to one day get on that show. Closest I ever got was having some of my cartoon work briefly shown on screen. Grumble.
